Winter is here….. and for the next 3 months I will navigate each day with as many methods and remedies I can manage in order to stay sane! Sounds dreadful! The reality is for me that I dislike winter. Is anyone with me on this one. Summer is for me a season of great freedom. Freedom from too many layers of clothing to – much freedom brought on by an abundance of energy and sunshine. On the other hand winter is sometimes like a prison sentence. I struggle with seasonal depression and in general feel slow, sluggish and unmotivated, none of which make me feel good about myself. Does anyone else feel like this – I’m sure I’m not the only one out there. Fortunately, after many years of dealing with a gut disorder and all the side kicks (anxiety, depression, sinus infections, allergies, food intolerances etc) I have found many natural remedies and methods that support my sanity and my ailments of getting through winter.
So I’m celebrating the fact that without winter I probably wouldn’t appreciate summer as much and the fact that there are so many natural things that we can do and take to support our bodies and minds through the winter season.
